Dr. Kocsomba Nelli
“Intellectual property law is one of the most creative areas of law: it’s incredibly exciting to build the portfolio of a small, start-up company or to protect the intellectual product of a large, international company that has been built up over many years.”
Dr. Nelli Kocsomba graduated from Eötvös Loránd University’s Faculty of Law in 2006. She spent her years as trainee and junior associate at small law firms with international clientele, where she dealt with employment and commercial contracts both in English and in Hungarian languages, as well as represented clients in civil litigation procedures.
When she founded the law office in 2013, her aim was to deal with the areas of law that are the closest to her heart: intellectual property law and other related innovative law areas.
Since 2012, Nelli has been a collaborating partner of an international regional law firm specialized in intellectual property law. Over the past ten years, she has developed a strong track record in handling the IP portfolio of multinational companies, She has also built up well-established relationships with colleagues in similar fields on foreign markets, with whom she works effectively on trademark searches, cross-border trademark infringement and multi-country opposition cases.
Nelli is passionate about assisting start-ups, medium-sized companies and entrepreneurs particularly in intellectual property matters. She works with clients to establish, protect, develop and, subsequently, exploit their intellectual property portfolio with a particular focus on trademark law in order to reach their business objectives.

Garabás Nikoletta
“My job is like a road trip to the sparkling ocean of the Portuguese coast. The journey to the finish line may seem long at first, but full of challenges: mountainous and valley landscapes, all testing human endurance. But if the traveller is determined and persistent enough, the result is guaranteed. And the realisation at the coast that success without the journey would not be so satisfactory is better than anything else. And so it is in the legal profession, where every day brings a new challenge, which is as exciting to solve as the mountain road to the coast.”
Nikoletta Garabás has been working as legal assistant with us since 2017, and she deals with copyright infringement issues, trademark, domain and customs matters at the law office.
Nikoletta started her studies to become a legal assistant at the Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary, then received the pre-degree certificate of law studies in 2023 the Pázmány Péter Catholic University. During her studies abroad at the Jagiellonian University, she gained significant knowledge in the field of industrial property and copyright law, which she developed at the international intellectual property law office Zivko Mijatovic and Partners.
In our law office, she is responsible for the research and preparatory work regarding oppositions in connection with trademark applications and cancellation procedures before the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office and the European Union Intellectual Property Office. Her work of paramount importance is the conduction of preliminary, analytical and evaluative research for trademark applications at a domestically pioneering level for trademark applications before the aforementioned authorities.
In addition to her progress in the university studies and dedication to her work at the law office, her commitment to social responsibility is demonstrated by being a volunteer lawyer for the Járókelő Közhasznú Egyesület for years.

Rétfalvi Krisztina
“The administration of a business is like the engine in a car. When it is running well, it is quiet, you do not even notice it. If we check it regularly, taking the right maintenance steps at the first sign of trouble, it can last a long time. In the same way, within the mass of the data, you need to see the system, find the interfaces, the control points and the business is running smoothly, everything is running nicely.”
Krisztina has nearly thirty years of experience in data management and administration, with knowledge acquired at multinational and domestic companies. Indeed, Krisztina is the extremely precise, tireless engine of our team, who joined us in 2020. She handles administrative tasks related to patents, trademarks, designs and utility models: liaising with partners, renewing trademarks, checking and paying maintenance fee lists. She is also responsible for the financial tasks at the law office.
